The optional technology for the base level Premium trim now has back cross traffic alert. What this does is that it alerts the driver to the traffic that is approaching and helps to avoid accidents.
The more expensive models have received a face lift in the form of a new grille as well as the fender trim. A 360° bird’s eye-view software that helps with accurate positioning and parking has also been included. The software called Surround View Monitor is a welcome addition to the higher end models. To increase once again the driver’s steering experience, KIA has added the Flex Steer which allows the driver to navigate the car using one of three modes – Sport, Comfort and Normal.
The Limited edition sees a clock with an analogue design as well as chrome trim edges added.
The 2014 KIA Cadenza’s front passenger’s seats have been replaced in the 2015 model by an 8 way power adjustable seat.
Progress in terms of Total Car Sales
When the KIA 2014 model was unveiled at the NAIAS way back in 2014, the car managed to impress and clinched the International Car of the Year Award for 2015. Many believed that that was the sign KIA need to progress and continue the production line of the Cadenza. However when 2015 rolled along, it turned out that the car wasn’t really as popular as was first hoped for.
KIA fell behind its rival companies such as Toyota and Chrysler in the first 2 quarters of 2015. Their total sales consisted of a marginal 5, 400 units where Chrysler sold 26, 000 and Toyota sold 32, 000. This is probably one of the reasons why modifications are needed every year – it is order to help increase competitiveness and appeal to the consumer market at large.

Not only is the car designed to appeal to the masses but it is also fuel efficient and cost wise very affordable to the general populace (starting price is USD$34, 500).
