Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Design
This automobile generated tremendous hype and excitement even before its launch. The orders are capable of surpassing even its predecessors with over 1000 orders before it came on the market and more than 700 orders within the first month of release. However, the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo has a long way to go before it can match up to the name of its predecessor, The Gallardo. The weight of the Huracan is only around 1340 Kg, which is surprisingly less for a race car of its stature and its specifications. The automobile is expected to compete along with the GT3 Class in several tournaments including the one that is its namesake, Blancpain Tremendous Trofeo Championship. It will subsequently be running throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
The 2016 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo has been designed by Dallara Automobili. The founder of the company, Gian Paolo Dallara had also been responsible for Espada and Muira. The curb weight has been reduced to a dramatic 1340 Kg because of the massive de-contenting. Chief test driver, Giorgio Sanna claims that the vehicle 46% more torsion stiffness than its predecessor, Gallardo and 70% more stability than the road version of Huracan because of its roll cage which extends till the rear shock towers.
The dual-clutch has been changed to a 6-speed gearbox by Xtrac. Other changes include a modified spring and damper rates. Data acquisition can be performed by the Motec Engine. Massive modifications in the aerodynamics have been done in order to make it more appropriate for the track. A large dive-plain is there in the front and a diffuser set up along with flat undertray at the rear. The rear deck also carries a huge 10-way adjustable rear wing.
2016 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo is now available with a transparent cover hood, which, together with the new LED backlighting of the engine compartment, just will not leave the supercar unnoticed.
The Huracan Super Trofeo has a superior V10 direct injection engine with a 5.2L capacity. The maximum output of this Motec controlled engine is 620 hp and a gorgeous weight/power ratio of 2.05Kg/CV. The engine is a drivers delight with its rear wheel only access. The car can achieve a torque of 419 lbft and at the rate of 6500 RPM. The car also carries a 6-speed sequential gearbox which is electrically actuated by Marelli.
All in all, the driving experience of this car is largely superior to that of its counterparts. The Lamborghini has succeeded in making a better, stronger, and smarter racing car automobile.
The estimated base price for the Huracan is an approximate of $262,947. The release date depends on the amount of interest this automobile has been able to generate amongst the racing scene. But, a launch in early 2016 is expected.
